Daryl Lee Beeler, 70, of Vermilion, died Monday, July 9, 2018 at his home after a lengthy illness.
He was born January 4, 1948 in Lindsay, CA and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 18 years moving from Elyria and Belvidere, IL.
Daryl was a veteran of the US Army and recently received the quilt of valor for his service.
Daryl worked as a controls engineer for Ford Motor Co., Avon for years 29 years retiring in 2014. He had also worked for Chrysler Corporation in Belvidere, IL.
He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, was a Harley enthusiast, and especially enjoyed spending time with his 6 grandsons and dog, Addie.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years , Vivian Beeler of Vermilion; daughters, Melissa (Allen) Marcum of Lorain and Summer (Todd) Shumaker of Amherst; grandchildren: A.J., Kris, Dylon, Alex, and Sam Marcum, and Lukas Shumaker; and his sister, JoAnn (Don) McCoy of Chandler, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Vera (nee Stephens) Beeler and his brothers, Steven and Michael Beeler.
Private family services will be held.
